MatHealth Project

This is a ‘German-African Innovation Incentive award’ (01DG18004)  (01DG18004: PIs Drs. Angella Musiimenta (MUST), and Dr. Niels Pinkwart, Humboldt University, Germany) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) (Euros 150,000). The study (titled: “Using a mobile phone-based multimedia technology to support maternal health in rural southwestern Uganda (MatHealth)” utilizes a mobile phone-based multimedia application composed of (videos and audios) to disseminate maternal health information to rural pregnant and breastfeeding women in Uganda, remind them to attend antenatal and postnatal appointments, and provide phone-based maternal health-related consultations.
