This clip introduces the concept of fractions as one of the topics of the P.6 mathematics syllabus. The teacher defines and well illustrates the meaning of a fraction and gives several examples to bring out the proper understanding of fractions. The teacher further explains the parts and types of fractions such as the proper, improper, and mixed fractions.

By the end of the clip, the pupil should be able to;

  1. Define a fraction; explain the meaning and differences of denominator and numerator.
  2. Explain the different types of fractions and apply the fractional concept in today's’ world,
  3. Attempt and pass the questions set at the end of the clip.
